Introducing....

Monkey baby aka Rebecca......born weighing 6lb on 22nd December - handily 3 days early thus ensuring I didn't have to endure an NHS Christmas dinner....

Although I'm not sure how quickly I'll forgive her for the marathon 72 hour stop start labour which exhausted me, was apparently knackering and distressing for the other half (!!) and frustrated the labour and delivery staff so much so they tried to speed things up with drugs and stubborn to the end, she threw a fit with a wobbly heart rate which resulted in an emergency C section....but then again she is so completely gorgeous I just might...even if living with her is like living in a time sucking vortex of disappearing days, 3am feeds, no sleep whatsoever and stinky nappies...

No home should be without a Rebecca (As you might guess, one of mine is a Rebecca)...

Well, the cares and heartaches start here with the sleepless nights, and carry on downhill for the next twenty years or so...

Congratulations and well done all the same...Believe me, there's nothing quite like what you're feeling just now!

Congratulations. Hope she is settling in. I love the name Rebecca - much nicer than Baby Monkey.

Congratulations. She is beautiful. And Rebecca is a great name - it's my sister's.

Glad she arrived (eventually) safely. xx

Well done to you!

Baby Monkey is gorgeous.

Hang in there honey, just remember, you won't be breastfeeding, wiping her backside and waking up every two hours in the night, when she's 16 years old.

Even if it does feel like that at the moment.

Many hugs to you and your Monkey family!

thanks everyone...and glad you all approve of the name...although i'll probably stick to monkey baby on here!

Cogi - there's definitely nothing quite like what we are feeling now...elated, knackered, exhausted, sleep deprived, dead on our feet etc etc...although as Roses said if it's not going to last 16 years then hopefully we might just survive...
